so after the runaround of a different ram config in the manual for rev 2.0 and 2.1 of my board (I placed it in 1 and 3 because the problems continued), after more problems I realized my board was 2.0 and the 2.0 manual appears to want placement in 1 and 2 or 3 and 4, so I have placed the ram back in 1 and 2, but before I switched it to 1 and 3 ( when it was in 3 and 4 ) problems persisted, and I don't know what to do next. Alot of the problems are still accompanied by memory errors, but I had tested my ram before with no problems, the test failed at first but I had things open. I restarted, and each chip tested individually and together, this was a good bit ago though.

If you have the timing and voltage set right. Try bumping up your CPUNB voltage.
Find your CPU Northbridge voltage in the bios and raise it up one from default. Not the board Northbridge.
would you guys suggest returning that GeIL memory and getting this G-Skill memory that is on sale if I still can? Is it likely enough that the ram is the problem?:

well I am running memtest again and it is going well, and assuming it goes well, I'm stumped, but I would also like to add that I just had another bad startup, with a few of the "memory could not be written"...or something like that.
I would also like to add that while I can't say this NEVER happens randomly, because it may very well have, overwhelmingly it is usually upon startup, during startup, or shortly after startup. The memory errors, the blue screens, and the program crashes, and the issues continue until I restart, at which point it usually is fine, or acts up again, and another startup will be fine. Does this help?
I have not yet tried the cpu northbridge adjustment, I am waiting a bit to do so.

So after a few days of the computer running well, I started it up and got a blue screen shortly after windows came up, and I had not even clicked anything yet.

On top it said: BAD_POOL_HEADER I'm not sure if it always says this

I sent my mobo away for rma, it is being shipped back as of yesterday to me. it doesn't have much information in the email, but in the packaging list at the bottom under notes it simply says: "reflash 1394 address"
I wrote with the rma about the cold start up issues and multiple errors, and then at the end noted that my usb 3.0 ports also did not work. I couldn't find alot of info on google about "reflash 1394 address." I assume that's what they did to fix it, but I was wondering if that was something that would have anything to do with the cold start up, or if you think I'm gonna get this back with working usb ports and start up issues still there.
