Computer Randomly Shuts Down?

Hello,

I built my computer about 6 months back and now just randomly it shuts down. Like a hard shut down. I can hear where my PSU cable hooks to the computer some crackling sound so it is overheating most likely.

I downloaded SpeedFan and checked my temperature and I have

Temp1: 88 C with fire next to it
Core0: It is 49 C and sometimes has fire next to it
Core1: 49 C which sometimes has fire next to it

This cant be good...is there anything I can do?

EDIT- Might this have anything to do with configurations in the BIOS?

i think he means next to the temp is a fire symble indicating over heating... i think

That is what I meant. Its not dusty. I am going to look inside tonight. If anyone has any idea of why the PSU Cord is sizzling like eggs please let me know.

Also on start up the temperatures rise like crazy.

Crackling sound would not be overheating.

What power supply is in the computer, and what are your system specs. This sounds like a faulty or underpowered power supply to me.
