Hi.
I have a IBM NetVista computer, 733mhz 256 Ram rinning Windows xp pro.
my problem is that the computer reboots after 3.5 minutes. I am unable to do a virus scan as it reboots before the scan is complete. I have cleaned out the dust from inside the case also I have tried another hard drive, but it still keeps on rebooting, any advise would would be welcome.
Could this this be a power fault, if so how do I check this ???
Many thanks all

a virus could def. be the problem, or a bad psu, if you have another psu
on hand i'd swap it in to rule that out, and maybe try one memory card at a time,
or a different memory card

just try this out:

got to my computer's properties -> Advanced......and under "startup and recovery" settings, under the "system failure" , uncheck the "Automatically Restart" option....

I have found that the power supply was the problem. I now have another problem when i turn on the computer nothing happens, the monitor light is flashing that is it. I had to reinstall windows as the file was corrupt and was unable to fix it. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?????
Many thanks
