Computer restarts out of nowhere please help!

hey everyone i have a windows 7 os and recently my computer restarts out of nowhere like every hour..out of nowhere my screen turns pitch black and my computer just restarts..i ran an anti virus and no virus or such was found..what should i do?

how hot is it running? constant restarting like that could be a heat problem.

If you have the RC version of win 7-that would be a normal thing happening since it's hit it's expiration date.

That's what I was thinking...I've known several people who didn't read the fine print when they downloaded it.
