computer running slow

Is it true that if your pc runs slow means that it has something to do with the memory and perfectly a 100% nothing to do with the hard disk's content will the HDD rpm also affect?
 
chances are that your hard drive has fragmented and not been cleaned. You may also need ot clean out things like your prefetch and registry.
