There are a lot of schools out there but what school do you guys recommend for anyone that is looking into training for a career in the computer industry? How do you make sure they are accredited legally? What area did you study? What schools did you train at and what jobs were available etc etc...Discuss

the school in which i do my training at is pretty good we do a BTEC national certifcate for IT Practitioners and an NVQ Level 3 Adavanced Apprenticeship.
the school is called The Bishop Bell Curch of England Mathematics and Computing Specialist School everything they do is legal they cut a corner they will turn themselves in! i still study there i finish in 2007 it is a 2 year course inwhich they will train you to the limit! only slight hiccup is they only pay £40 a week and you will be there form 8:30am till 5:00pm everyday 5 days a week!!! let me know what you think

have you thought about looking in to any colleges??

Oh yes I am definitely looking into all colleges and options. I know that I definitely want to do online study but I will only have a few evenings and possibly 3 days a week of daytime times available to train.
Thank you so much for posting that, I didn't even think of going the apprenticeship route!

I reside in Central Florida. I have talked to many schools and am leery of all of them. They make you feel like just mere cattle being herded toward their corporate feeding trough. I am not in college, I live at my own residence.
I want to explore entry level apprenticeship, I just haven't located any opportunities like that other than those "Start Your Own Business" scams.

Ah...online study sort of thing. Well generally, you don't get quite as good an education and experience with those. But I guess you don't have the time to be a full-time student, so whatever floats your boat.

As for me, I want to go to MIT, my mom wants me to go to Cornell (She's a grad from there) and my grandmother wants me to go to Harvard (I'd be 3rd generation).

And my sister's boyfriend is a computer engineering major at Northeastern University.
