Computer Screen Resolution Size

Can anyone answer these questions please?

1> If I use a high resolution size for my desktop would that use up more memory?
2> If I play a game with high resolution vs. low resolution does the higher resolution use more memory and will it cause the video card to overheat easier?

Thanks!

Oh another thing... about refresh rate. Does high refresh rate cause the video card to overheat too while gaming? or just the monitor... and does the color quality play a role in overheating and ram usage?

Are you noticing an over heating problem?

Check your temps.
Use a program such as Speed Fan or PC Wizard

Im not sure if a higher resolution would use up more ram but I would imagine it would take more processing power and be more taxing on the graphics card (possibly CPU (anyone want to confirm that?))

If you have adequete cooling and are not overclocking, you shouldnt need to worry about over heating.

What case do you have?
Is it open to good airflow (not in a cabinet)?
Did you check your temperatures?

I don't think resolution has anything to do with it. I think it's just the quality settings that affect memory.

im using that core temp and it is usually around 34-39. what is the avg temp?

i'm not overclocking and my computer case i leave it open without the cover.

That is when youre not playing a game correct?
Those are fine temps.

Im not entirely sure but i think its alright to be up in the 60s when playing a game. (Definately need someone to verify)

hell. normal? thats freezing. my video card hits 65C before i raise the fan speed past 50%

you dont need to buy anything, and you should keep your resolution at the highest setting because its effects on ram and heat are extremely minimal.
