Help! As I was copying photos from my laptop (HP G60-235DX Notebook) to my flash drive, the laptop shutdown and now I cannot boot it up. I have the power cable connected but nothing happens when I push the button to boot it up. It's like it is dead!!! So if someone could help me, I greatly appreciate it. :(

Have you tried removing the battery?
Then unplug the PS for a minute then plug the PS back in without the battery and see if it fires up.
Also unplug the flash drive.

I removed the battery, unplugged the pc, waited a couple of minutes, then plugged the pc back in and tried booting it up and it booted up okay. Does that mean the battery is bad?

I'm talking about the entire machine (CPU, GPU, etc) not the battery. Batteries don't tend to get hot much.

TO MyCattMaxx: THANK YOU!!!! I did exactly what you said and the laptop is up and running. Apparently the battery went dead because after I put it back in, it showed that it was charging at 10 %. Now it is at 100% charged and working fine.
Again, thank you for the help!!!!!!:)
