When i go to task manager and go to processes,
there is this exe file called PnmSrv.exe which goes under systems that uses up 99% of my CPU..., its been like this for a while
any idea of how i can make it not use 99% of my CPU? cos it really lags my comp alot

I did some research on what this process is:

PNMSRV.EXE is a process belonging to panda platinum internet security which protects your computer against Internet-bound threats such as spyware and trojans which can be distributed through e-mail or attack directly to the computer allowing unauthorized access to your computer. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

Are you aware of installing Panda Platinum internet security if not I suggest you un-install it.. for your information:

oooh~...
THanks for the information
i uninstalled the panda antivirus program,
can anyone recommend me a good anti virus program?
last time i tried AVG, it kinda made most of my programs not working...

Well I used AVG with no problems what so ever, but if you have money I suggest you purchase Norton Anti-Virus or Norton Internet Security

Dont go with Nortan, I would have to suggest Trend Micro if you are going to spend some money.

You see it on this list with every other antivirus http://www.av-comparatives.org/seiten/ergebnisse/report07.pdf The site you listed does not give any info on the test performed and was probably paid to put those antiviruses on there as they have adds for other products! The site I listed it not in it for profit and it does not advertise...now who are you going to believe?

I think Nortan along with all the other mainstream anti-virus software uses way too many system resources.

Show me proof! What system resources? Why does everyone say that? Norton uses 8mb of ram on my pc...wow a resource hog it must be since I only have 2gigs

It might have been a resource hog 8 years ago on something like a 166mhz with 32mb of ram...lol!

I have used them all avast, avg, panda ect ect and I see no drop in performance so I say once again prove it before ya post it, people keep saying this because he said she said and its getting old!

What about all those people that use lower end computers though, ya it may be easy for us to run it with no slow downs but i have seen it make computers run slowly.
