Is there any way that I can turn off the sounds that the computer makes (i.e. beeps and other noises) temporarily. I am playing music for a party and I don't want to hear those noises. Please help asap.
There shouldnt be many sounds coming from the computer if your just playing music on it.. unless you have an instant messaging programme open and someone messages you ect.. other things might be if the audio player you use has change track beeps or something.. i dont think you should have any problems.. i play music from my PC for parties all the time.. and all i hear is the music.. Are you browsing with internet explorer or something while playing music? because u might be getting the click / navigation sound.. Anyway to edit what windows beeps and sounds are used goto control panel->sounds and audio devices->sounds tab->then select the offending sound and change it to none. Goodluck
Adding to Jesse1984's comments, go into the Sounds dialog. Save your existing scheme as say, Ahm Scheme. Then go through and turn off all sounds. Save the scheme as say, Silence. You can then change between the two whenever you want.
Nah, that's too hard! LOL
Save your present scheme like Starman says. Then in the drop down window, pick "No Sounds"! When you want your sounds back, pick your previously saved scheme.
