So i recently impulse bought a gaming computer. I had planned on getting one for a while but i don't think i did enough research before actually buying it. I want to know if not only will i be able to play the games i want and also use fraps and record them with good fps. I am looking to play dayz, the forest, minecraft....ect. Here are my specs.

AMD Processor - AMD Athlon x4 760K 3.8GHz (Quad Core)
CPU Cooling - Standard Heatsink
AMD Motherboard - FM2 Chipset Motherboard
Memory - 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz
Primary Hard Drive - 2TB 7200 RPM
Secondary Hard Drive - None
Optical Drive - DVD Writer
Graphics Card - Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 2GB
Power Supply - EVGA 500 Watt Power Supply
Operating System - Windows 8.1 64 Bit

Yeah, any good gaming PC would have an Intel i5 or better, not an FM2 chip.

But for what you are doing, im sure it will be fine.

DayZ will require a bit more HP i think... but a 760 will play fc4 at around 50FPS on ultra at 1080p.

Dayz will be harder on my computer that FC4? All i want is to play at decent settings preferably on HIGH and good fps for recording. I should of done more research... :/

So you're saying my 860K isn't as good as a lower model i5?

Maybe in single core, but I can run with the big boys for half the cost..

Just stating that an i5 would outperform a AMD quad core....

An Athlon is a great budget buy, but if you have the cash, you want the i5

My old 770 did around 80fps at 1080p max ultra full anti-aliasing on bf4 so the 760 wouldn't be far behind. With fraps it uses heavy resources so it would struggle to keep 60fps while recording. Minecraft should be fine.

For other games like bf4 use shadowplay.
