Computer stopped and won't reboot

My desktop computer went off out of the blue and won't restart.
After switching the power supply off and on, when I power it up, the system will try to start for a split second (leds and fans are turning on) then die.
I have no back up components to find out which one's faulty.
Any chance to get a clue otherwise ?
