HELP, my computer isn't booting up. It's getting to the window xp splash image, and then it flashes the BSOD and reboots...

here's the error code:

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

**8 STOP: 0X000000ED (0X8669EE30, 0XC000006, 0X00000000,0X00000000)

some of the 0's look like D's...but im not sure.

Please help, I need the computer running ASAP:eek:

Sounds like the problem is related to your HDD(s). Have you tried pressing F8 when booting and testing the options you get there like Safe Mode etc.

yes i have, even in safe boot it doesn't go work, though it doesn't flash the BSOD, it just reboots itself

Have you made any recent changes to your hardware or software? The message is telling you that it can't read the nessecary boot files.

Do you have the original installation disk? If so, there are some recovery console tricks you'd be able to try, as well as trying a repair install.

Have you tried the Windows Repair? Have you disabled restore points?

EDIT:
You were a few seconds faster than me, magicman. :P

I havn't added anything new to my computer, though i unplugged it and moved it yesterday, dont see why that would mess up boot files. I would try to use the repair install as soon as i have time to. I
