hello, I have a problem with my computer and I think it's because of the video card. I have a nvidia 9800 gt 512mb ddr3 graphics card. I'm not 100% sure it's my graphics card though. Just about 90% because my computer was working pretty swell before I put the card in.

My computer spec are

Mobo: Gefprce7050m-m
PSU: 550 Watt seagate.
Ram: 2gb ddr2
cpu: AMD Phenom(tm) 8650 triple-core processor 2.29gh
Graphic card: nvidia 9800 gt 512mb ddr3

My computer seems fine other than that. It's just when I play games that seem to require a lot of everything and it stutters. Stutters every 5-10 minutes.

I Have up to date drivers for my graphics card.

It seems to only do this when I use the the graphics at a high rate.

Thank you for taking your time to read this.

Oh yeah, My temperatures for my cpu seem to be around 55-65 maybe 70c didn't have an accurate temperature and My gpu is 70-80c when I play demanding games. Normally it idles at 66c.

psu? that's powersupply.. If it was dead I wouldn't be able to turn on my computer and if it overheated I wouldn't know. Lol. I think you mean the cpu though. Umm. It doesn't seem like it's overheating... It's not that old.. It's about 4 to 5 months old.. and I turn my motherboards shutdown temp setting to the lowest on there. Which was 70 or so c. The cpu is probably running at 60 or 65c Not 100 sure though. I know when I booted up my computer it showed like 54c I'm sure it goes up a bit from that when I play demanding games or watch videos on my computer.

UpskirtHayley, I've gotten many other people saying that it's probably the psu so I'm going to buy one. Thank you very much for your info good sir.

Woah, never heard of the edit button? :P

Seagate doesnt make power supplies, did you get this 550W with your case?

Yeah, you're right. It's SeaSonic.. Sorry. and it's 500 Watt and I actually think I figured out the problem. The card works fine.. I'm pretty sure. I sent something to the FXF company about their card and they said it's fine it it runs at 80C or it should be fine. I think I may of had some drivers improperly installed.

However, that leads me to my next thingy, which is; I did try to build a computer perviously and it was doing the same stuff and it's because It was lacky of power I bet. I had a core 2 duel core intel and whatever motherboard it takes to run that and the same Spec as before just those replaced and it was crazy stuttering, but I put my old computer back together and just a little in certain games and so I thought maybe it was some hardware but it was just some drivers.. Still in the process of testing but thank you everyone! really.

Hello, I'm still getting the stutter every now and then. I did replace my power supply with a 650 watt corsair power supply and I replaced my motherboard and processor. I now have a gigabyte g41m-es2l and my processor is intel core 2 duo e7400

It still seems the same and The update I did before was just a active installer to install updates, so I don't really think that had anything to do with it. It still seems exactly the same.

I noticed it seems to only do it in a game called World Of Warcraft, however, I have played games like Left 4 Dead and Prototype and they seem fine. I haven't tested the games on my replacement power supply, motherboard, and processor.

I am currently in progress of that.
