Computer Takes Its' Sweet Time With Certain Tasks

My PC is pretty old, but sturdy enough to take some abuse ! Lately it's been hanging up (pauses for A long time) but only with certain things, such as, when I click on next Email page, Amazon search bar or Rock Auto where I'll get : PAGE UNRESPONSIVE YOU CAN WAIT FOR IT TO BE RESPONSIVE OR EXIT THE PAGE
I'd appreciate any help. Lol So would my PC so I stop kicking it !
 
Do you have an HDD or SSD? Sounds like failing storage or just a spike in storage utilization.
 
So is it just slow when doing internet things? If so, scan your system for malware using Malwarebytes. How many search bars do you have? What web browser are you using?
 
Then its your browser, most likely malware related. Uninstall any unneeded browser extensions. Providing you have decent enough specs you can still upgrade to windows 10 for free and would be in your best interest to do so.
