I'm posting this story as it happened yesterday. Around midday, whilst working online, I lost my Internet connection. Well actually, everthing was working; telephone, power, router all O.k. but I couldn't connect - no page would load.
I did a router "Repair Connection", tried other browsers, cleared my cache, re-booted my computer and restarted the router. All restarted fine, but the problem remained. I have to mention here, that I was working on one of my webpages, editing some text links and table dimensions. I use FileZilla and always open the files I'm editing from the "local list" pane then upload them. Well that morning, I made some changes to a webpage, uploaded, and viewed the results. Then I lost the Internet connection about an hour or so, later. It was 15 minutes before it suddenly started working again without any prompting. Now get this. The changes I made to my webpage were gone, reverting to the page previously, before I edited it. Cached pages? Nope. So here's the really weird bit. The file on my hardrive that I edited through FileZilla, no longer contained the changes I made before I lost the Internet connection. I'm hoping an expert on these matters, or anyone, can shed some light on how this is possible.
