I'm looking to wire my computer to my tv. My TV has an input for the computer but I want the computer to be in the next room. I have bluetooth keyboard and mouse but how can I go about getting the video signal that distance? Is there anyway I can transfer video via network and use a network receiver? Any ideas?

What kind of video? if it is component or coaxial, then you can run it through the wall fairly easily... if it is s-video, you can get an adapter to change it to component.

it's an rgb connection (not component). As far as I understand this run shouldn't be more than 10 feet. I'm looking at a 30 ft run.

If it is a desktop, i would get a conponent output. If it is a notebook most have s-video

It is a desktop computer. The only output it has the rgb. Will a A/V receiver with the ability to be networked also be able to transfer the display (not just transfer media)?

if the computer has A/V outputs then yes, you can output the entire display. if you are going to use media extender software, then no, you will only be able to transfer media using a networked A/V reciever
