Computer Troubles

I have a compact computer,A Digital Storm Bolt. I recently have been having troubles with it. One day I got a blue screen , the infamious blue screen, but I just turned it on afterwards and it worked fine. About two days later my computer started to act weird. I would hit the power button the fans would go on everything would do what it did, but my os and bios wouldn't start. I can hear bios beeps, one long three short. I got to my motherboard unplugged everything reset bios, unplugged my ram switched their places, and put everything back together. BUT once I tried to start it up again I got the same bios beeps. Sometimes the beeps change also. I sometimes get two short, two long, one long one short, one long two short, and similar things.

Sometimes after turning it on and off and on and off it finally works, but that happens like once every hundredth reset. After so many resets I can get into my os and my PC but once I shuflt it sldown this happens again. I also am having a problem with updating my windows, I don't know if that has anything to do with that. Please please help if you can. I can not afford another computer so please of you know someone or somewhere that can help me oflr if you can help me please let me know. My email is [Email removed to prevent spam]

What motherboard is it? You need to figure out what the BIOS beeps mean in order to know what is truly wrong with it.

Its an Asus motherboard. P8Z77-1 Deluxe. I tried looking up what beeps mean but I'm not that knowledgeable of what to do. Its recently an one and one beep

Is this a new build recently or have you had it awhile? Did you build it yourself? Can you build it outside of the case to make sure the motherboard isn't shorting out against the case?

Its a costume build by Digital Storm. it's a Bolt. The motherboard isn't shorting out because the lights on it stay on and its power light is on. I also did take it out of the case and ran it and it worked the same as it did inside. I did unplug the ram and switched their positions, I also reset the Bios and that's when I got the new Bios beep code of one and one
I also had it for a little over a year Maby two

Sounds like a memory or Video problem. Instead of swapping the memory around, Just try stick one at a time.
When you say a video problem what do you mean by that? If there isn't anything wrong with my memory then how will I know what is wrong with my video. Do you mean graphics card

One thing at a time. Did you try just one stick of memory at a time?

OK so I tried one stick at a time and none of my sticks worked. I switched slots, I put them in one at a time, and I reset my bios. Im still getting the bios beep sequence 1 long 3 short and I have american mega trends( I think that's what its called) mother board beep sequence thing. It says something about bad memory of I get that beep sequence. Could that mean that both my ram went bad at the same time or could it be something more than that.

I brought new ram and put that in and that didn't fix my computer. What else could it be.I have AMI beep sequence and I'm getting 1 odd beep and then two similar fast beep, so I'm guessing one long and two short. Since my ram isn't bad, cus I tried 4 different sticks of ram 2 of which are brand new and none of them work, what can be wrong. This is really frustrating please help.

Not sure if someone has said this yet but have you tried mdsched.exe ? Type that into your start menu and let it run and see what happens. It a windows diagnostic tool which will test your RAM and i had problems with my stick of ram it kept blue screening my pc when i was turning it on even in safe mode !

Hope this helps :)

1 long beep and 2 short beeps means failure in video system. So I'm assuming its an issue with the video card if you have a dedicated video card or motherboard if you have onboard video.
