computer tunrs itself on..

i just got done building my pc, everything works fine except when i shutdown from in windows and the computer turns off after about 40 seconds in turns itself back on! and the only way to permanently turn it off is to press the power button in

lol that could be a pain. Do you have the reset and power switches on the right pins on your motherboard ?
Refer to the motherboard manual, and make sure there on the right way

hmmm, only other thing i can think of is removing the 24 pin PSU connector from the motherboard and plug it back in again. Give it a good blow and make sure there isnt no dust or anything in the connectors (even though its new). If your still having problems it could be something to do with your OS

i do, and im gonna try i bios update because it says in the update "Fixed system will auto wakeup from S5 when LAN link status change."

Firstly make sure you turn off the 'Wake on' events in the BIOS.

Second That,

If you are connected to the internet, make sure that you disable anything to do with booting on LAN.
