hi there,

ive just got my replacement b3 stepping motherboard and ive installed it in my computer all connected up etc and when i turn it on it all fires up ie fans lights etc but it unexpectedly few seconds later just turns off and turns on again then shuts down again and it does this until i get fed up and pull out the power to it

pull the cmos wait a minute or so and put it back in. that will reset the bios and will help us narrow the issue.

i think the problems are my hard drives, there all sata and one is a SSD and sometimes in bios it recognises them and other times it doesnt, ive got a gigabyte pa67-ud3 b3 and i plug in my 2 hard drives in ports sata 0 and sata 1

try pulling all the sata ports except the CD/DVD drive and the SSD (Im assuming you intend it as the boot drive). put the CD/DVD drive into SATA 0 and the SSD into SATA 1 and see if it boots, or even recognizes it.

ive made the optical drive sata 0 the SSD sata 1 and my sata HD as sata2 and it works thanks alot for your help but i dont get this next bit it reads mt SSD as sata2 not sata1??

It may just be counting from 1 instead of 0. Like on my last one, the DVD was sata 0, HHD was sata 1 and the esata wason sata 2, but it read as 1,2,3.

still get problems as my SSD is plugged in sata 1 port and bios thinks its plugged in sata 2 so once in a while it cant load from my hd as it thinks its in the wrong location ie it thinks its the other hard drive and not the hard drive windows is on

your probably going to need to wait for someone else with a bit more experience to help you here. I have exhausted my expertise. Sorry.
