Computer turns on for a second only and then loops.

Desktop PC (Compaq Presario S6000NX) turns on for a split second (lights, fans spin, etc.) but then shuts off right after, and then turns back on, shuts off, etc. in a continuous loop. Before this, the PC was working just fine, I take the case off and notice the Floppy Drive is not connected to the power supply (only the cable was connected to the motherboard, I was getting a Floppy Drive error during POST so I decided to have a look inside) so I connect the power cable and attempt to turn the PC back on and I get this looping problem. I disconnected the power from the drive but I'm still left with this problem. :(
 
Thanks for the reply. I've already done that and it didn't work. I've posted this problem on another forum as well and the problem was narrowed down the the power supply. The PC is working now :)
