Computer upgrade.

Don't know if this is the right section but I'll post it anyway. I want to upgrade my computer because it ain't that good. And I don't know what I should upgrade to.

Current specs:
Motherboard: Dunno?
Videocard: Geforce 8400 GS 256 MB
RAM: 2 GB of some 667MHz RAM.
Processor: Intel core 2 duo E4500 2.2GHz

What I'm thinking of upgrading to:

videocard: 9800GT/Radeon HD 4830/Radeon HD 4670
RAM: 4GB DDR2 1066 MHz PC8500/1150 MHz 2 GB DDR2 PC9200
processor: Intel core 2 duo E7400 2.8GHz

So I wonder:

Which videocard should I pick?
Which RAM should I pick?
Is all this possible to upgrade to?

you should download cpu-z so you can find out what your mobo is because it depends on that to see what you can upgrade to.

yeah, download CPU-Z, find out the make and model of your motherboard. That RAM is all very fast stuff, in all likelyhood your motherboard wouldnt optimise that.

As for graphics card I dont know much about ATi, but the 9800GT is a decent card, though if you are thinking about buying that have a look at the 8800GT too as the 9800GT is basically a remake.

also, is this a custom built PC or a Pre built one?

Video card: preformance wise 4830 ~ 9800GT > 4670
Personally perfer 4830 as you could find it slightly cheaper.

RAM: Check your motherboard what speed of RAM it would support before you purchase

CPU: Check your motherboard what FSB it support. E4500 with 800MHz, E7400 with 1066MHz.
If your motherboard only support 800MHz FSB. There is not much of point you upgrade from E4500 to E5300. You'd better overclock your CPU to save some money

PSU: If you look at 9800GT/ 4830, your probably would need a min. 400W PSU. Check your current one before you purchase.
