Computer will not POST I am just trying to confirm that its the mobo.

This is a pc my friend sent to me to help him put it together, he had one cpu in there but the cpu pins were all crooked and some even broke off so i would not sit/lock in the socket. I assumed this was probably the problem so he went out and bought a cpu: the fx-4350.

I installed it easily and plugged everything in. I turned the computer on, and the case leds light up, the gpu fan spins, the harddrive seems to be on, dvd drive on, heatsink fan is spinning. But no beep at all, I tried trouble shooting by removing various components and trying to see if theres a beep, no beep with 0 ram, no beep with 1 ram, no beep if the gpu is absent. I tried to see if it was a power supply problem, so i tried the PSU from my pc and still nothing.

I am thinking its a mobo problem, I could maybe test it by using my mobo: gigabyte 970a-ud3p but I really don't want to remove mine and try it out. If it is though I did recommend him this mobo because so far its been 7 years I think and still working fine.

But I don't want him to buy a new mobo if that isnt the case so I am posting this to see if I can at least confirm or try anything else.
I've checked the copper standoffs they all seem to be lined up well, and I even tried to use a different beep speaker still nothing.
His PC specs:
CPU- AMD FX 4350
PSU: Thermaltake Smart dps g series 750w
Mobo: Asus M5A78L‑M/USB3
case: apevia x4 dreamer
MY Psu: cx-750m
My mobo: gigabyte-970a-ud3p
edit: cpu typo actually a 4350 not a 8350

Da fuq is he doing putting a 8350 in a M5A78L-M? That board can't really handle that high TDP CPU.

Also, considering the pins were all bashed to shit it sounds like he didn't handle anything properly.

I'd definitely get a different board, how did he manage to F up the 8350 ?

Oops a typo on my end, right now he purchased the fx-4350 thats what I have now the first cpu was also a fx-4350 but I guess he accidently messed up the pins when he installed it

Yeah, the socket is probably damaged now. Can only insert cpu one way without damaging pins and motherboard.
