Computer won't boot, or something

I built a computer for my brother, and it was running perfectly fine for the first day. Now, however, the computer will either: a. Not boot at all, or b. Boot up, and then proceed to cut out after a random period of time. Everything still runs; the fans still spin, the lights are still on, but there is no longer any sound, and no display.

Now, I should mention that we had another problem, where the reset button seemed to be broken, and the computer would do the same thing as described above. However, it seemed that unplugging the reset button's wires fixed it, as we had his computer running fine on my monitor.

Upon switching back to his "monitor" (it's an off-brand LCD HDTV), the problem has persisted. It's getting a little late, so we're going to wait until tomorrow to see if the problem persists with my monitor, and then various parts from my computer (I built him a computer very similar to mine). In the mean time, can anyone let me know what might be wrong?

I'll post a parts list on the morrow.

EDIT: We figured out that it might be the graphics card. I put a spare one in and the computer seems to be running fine. In any case, if you know what might be going on, let us know. :)

EDIT: His stuff (That I can remember): Zotac Geforce GTX 460 1 gb (Likely culprit), AMD Phenom II x6 3.2ghz

Yeah, I'd say the graphics card needs to be replaced. Hit up Zotac support and describe your issues. They should assist you in getting the card replaced. Where did you buy it from? It might be smarter/faster to go through them first.
