Computer Won't Boot Up When Usb Device Connected

HI EVERYBODY,
HERE IS THE PROBLEM, WHEN I START MY COMPUTER WITH FEW USB DEVICES CONNECTED THE COMPUTER IT'S STUCK AND WON'T START WINDOWS TILL I DISCONNECT EVERY USB CONNECTION AND RESTART.
NOW, I DON'T GET IT BECAUSE WHEN I RESTART THE COMPUTER AFTER A FEW HOURS OF WORK IT'LL RESTART EVEN WITH THE USB DEVICES CONNECTED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM, SO IT'S NOT A PROBLEM WITH THE BIOS BOOT SETTINGS.

ANYONE WHO HAVE AN IDEA, THANK YOU.

It will help to know the version of Windows with or without service packs or an alternate OS in order to help here. With an early release of XP or an older version of Windows the usb 2.0 support may not be there. It could a problem being seen with one of the attached devices as well. Have you tried starting the system with only one attached at a time to see which one seems to cause more problems? Isolation would be the key for a defective device.

thank you very much for your response, i'm sorry for the ignorance, it's my first time here.
my os - windows xp pro with sp2, i don't think the OS got somthing to do with the problem since as i said in my first message that if i restart the computer after working a few hours with it it's starting smoothly even if USB devices are attached, so it's seems more of a hardware problem.

You could be seeing a driver problem too where one or more fails to load correctly when starting the system up. But you can see problems at times with some devices where they will work good on one system but not another. Where one device may work well on an older system you suddenly see problems on a new build due to fault in the device.

When you see this again try restarting with only one device at a time like I mentioned to see if you can pinpoint which one is seeing this. It's also possible that two devices simply won't work together at the same time if none are found with defects.

well i think it's my printer, i got it unplugged and the problem solved.
i didn't think about trying to isolate the defective device, thanks again for the idea. (now i'll try reinstalling the drivers of my printer)
