computer wont GO!!

ive got an amd athlon xp 1.8, on a N1996 board. ive just changed cases and it was fine for about a week. i shut it down and now it wont start up
all it does is turn the fans for about 2 seconds and shut down again, i have to disconnect the power to try again. everything is set up right as it was in the old case

try clearing the bios-maybe something has been knocked?

try making sure all components are installed correctly and firmly onto board

how do i clear bios if it wont start? everything seated and secure

there should be a battery on your motherboard look where that is then look down in the bottom right corner there should be three pins two will have a plastic cap on

they are pins 1-2 (normal running mode)

now put the cap on the other two pins 2-3 (clear cosmos mode)

leave for about six second then pu them back to pin 1-2

anyone tell me the correct front panel connections for this board, i just want to check they rite

If you have the speaker jumper plugged into the pins correctly - do you hear any beeps? Make sure it's in the right place (look in your manual for which pins they go on) and try again.

yeh it all seems to be set up right but still wont boot up, fans turn for a second then shuts down
