Computer wont start. Need some one smart here

I have heard that the computer should still power up though... I dont have 2 CPUs in there Anythibg like that

Or is it possible my mobo has a security thing in it so that if both are not plugged in it won't boot?

I've never been able to boot with only one connected, but then again, I've never tried to boot with only one connected. Here's hoping you didn't do any damage. Cheers.
 
Well I went and returned the PSU unfortionaty futurshop and staples didn't have any in hat had 8 pin or 2 4 pins... The only one they did have was 250$... I'll try another computer shop tommorow.

WOW is that some sort of experimental 3500 watt PSU or what?!?! That's crazy expensive. Anyways, yeah let us know how it goes. Cheers.
 
Haha no it was just a 1000W. I dont know why it is so expensive.

Also I looked on my sheet showing all the parts in my computer and the processor says it is:
Intel core 2 quad Q6600 Quad core processor LGA775 kentsfield 2.40 GHZ 1066FSB 8MB

Would this CPU require the full 8-pin to start up?
 
Ok so here is a update:

I got a new power supply and the blinking green light turned solid like before. Still didn't boot though. However, when i closed the circuit were my power cord goes into it Started up!

So now I'm guessing some how I managed to screw up my power switch in the middle of testing everything else out or something.

When i get home I am going to switch the power starting cord with the reset cord and use my reset button as a power button and hopefully I will be good to go.

I will keep u all updated.
