computer wont start

i have a user built pc with windows xp pro.the problem is a few days ago my partner got a registry program and installed it then he updated the windows with sp3 it worked fine at first then when he put it on yesterday it came up saying start windows normally but it would not start so he went through safe mode and took the windows back a few days now every time we try to start windows normally a blue screen flashes and it goes back to start windows normally if try going through one of the others all messages come up and the screen goes black can anyone please help thankyou
 
What did he do with the register program, what was that for? You could try and boot into safe mode, go into Add and Remove Programs and uninstall SP3 and reboot and see if it boots. But the question is what he did with the register program.
 
i think it was a vallidation thing.computer wont go into safe mode it keeps coming up with different messages about drivers /partition /system and things.
 
i have tried to do a repair with windows xp sp2 disk but it keeps asking me for admin password which i dont know if anyone knows how i can past this or do something else i would be very greatfull.dont forget i cannot goet through any of the start windows normally or any of the others thankyou
