computer won't start

The computer will sometimes not start. it will be hibernating or shut down and i will hit the power button and it the power light just blinks, if i hold it down it will blink for about 1 min and finally turn on. once it is on it is normal. it's quite annoying. any ideas? thanks
 
I turn off the hibernating option. I also make sure my hard drive never turns off and the monitor never goes to a screen saver. To me all of that is an annoyance.

Either you have an abnormal power supply, an faulty switch.....

Is this a pre built system? Or one you built?

If it is a prebuilt give us the model number of it so we can do some research.
