Computer won't stay on standby

When I goto bed at night, I leave the computer on and it goes into standby. But the computer randomly comes out of standby. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Check your BIOS settings and see if there is a Power On... dialog. It would probably be under Power Management. If, for example, it is set to power on with LAN, then a stray signal coming though the ethernet cable might cause the computer to wake up.

Or, if you have a cat, then you might want to disable wake on mouse (or PS2 or COM).
