Computer won't turn on urgent help please

I accidently plugged in a cord while the desktop was on, then it just blacked out. The reason I did this was because my computer was getting slower after a 2 years or so and figured that might be the problem. Now, when I try to turn on my computer, nothing happens, I tried all the solutions over the net and still none of the work, I don't want to buy another power supply or motherboard. Please Help me! No fans are turning on, etc. Please help! Thank you.

What cord did you plug in? Attaching or removing cords or hardware while pc is on can be disastrous. Have you tired resetting the cmos by removing the cmos battery? Motherboard could be dead now or power supply.

The cord i plugged in was a cord that had 2 cords along with it and 1 of the cords had another cord tat could be inputted to the motherboard, I know the problem isn't my power supply, can you please help me find a way to see if the problem is the power button?
 
Without knowing what the cord exactly was, your description of it isn't very good. Have you tried a different power supply? If you did and it still didn't work then its got to be the motherboard.
 
Want me to take a picture of the cord and try to send it on here? Also, I already did a test proving that my power supply was fine. If it is the motherboard, would there be any way to reflow it?
 
Many things can go bad on a motherboard, would have to figure out what first. Take a picture and then click on upload a file on your reply.

What test? Power-on by paperclip? Voltmeter tester?

Neither of those are completely reliable, a unit can easily provide enough voltage at standby to light up the tester however be unable to supply sufficient amperage to power the system.

I am going to upload a picture of the cord, don't know the name. Additionally, I think it wouldn't be the PSI that was affected because the mobo was the actual thing that was affected when I did something foolish
