Computer wont turn on!!!

I have a emachines M622-UK8X

It will not turn on at all

I plugged cord i n there are no lights nothing

Please help.

Try taking out the battery and giving the terminals a good blow/clean. Then snap it back in and try.
 
Then I would say the fuse on the notebook has gone. I cannot find any data on that made/model so I would not know how to change it. It might be a case of taking the notebook to a PC repair shop.

I had a laptop come in once with no lights no nothing.I too thought it might be a power issue but it turned out to be a bad HD.

Try removing the HD then power up to see if the lights and the bios kicks in.

May be a short in the HD.

Let me know if that does not work.You might also try removing the battery and the plug,,hold down the power button for 10 seconds then power back up.That completely drains the system of power like a reset switch does.

Im betting on the HD though
 
I tried taking out the hd and resetting the computer neither worked.
I took out my multimeter and found that i am getting 20vdc though the jack but i have no power through the power button. So what i think is that there is a bad connection or something blew somewhere between the power jack the battery and/or o the power switch.

What do you think?
