Computer won't turn on

I own a dell dimension 4700 and it wont turn on.
The power light blinks 6 times (green) then stops a second and does it again.
I've tried plugging it in to different outlets. didn't work.
psu dead?
i've had this computer since like...2004?

Look on the back of the computer for 4 lights labeled a,b,c,d and let me know what color each light is, green or yellow.

i don't have that. can't find that anywhere.

Look on the back of the computer where all the ports are, they should be right above the keyboard and mouse connector. Look at this pdf file, it will show you where they are at.

found it. no abcd lights come on.

Try a different power supply first.

Yes power supply and psu are the same thing.

If I remember my dimension 4550 correctly any standard power supply should work.

i got a psu from a friend but p1 and p2 were different sizes. it was an older dell. so i'm guessing most psu's wont fit.

All power supplies have standard molex connectors.

my old psu had a 4pin connector for P2. the other psu's P2 was different.

Thats only how they label it, it was probably for a floppy drive. But like i said all psu's have standard molex connectors.

the 2 connectors that go to the motherboard, neither of them fit my computer.

Did you ever solve this? Was it the PCU? I have the same issue.
