ARGGH!!! My PC won't boot! I turn it on, it then is "Checking NVRAM" forever (usually takes like a second or two) !! What can I do???

go into BIOS and turn off self test at boot up ?

Unplug the computer, and take the battery out for 5 minutes. Put it back in and your good to go

or find the jumper on the mobo to clear the CMOS, its usually labelled something like clr_cmos or chk_clr...
