Concern about graphics card power supply

Hello i just bought a Radeon HD 4670 card for my computer, and on newegg it says that it requires a 400 watt power supply. I hooked it up to my computer the other day not thinking about that and its working fine, the computer has only 220 watt power supply. So there seems to be nothing wrong even though it says i need 180 more then I have.

Will this eventually crash my system?
If not does it decrease the performance?
I would appreciate anything else that could help.

Thank you.

It will end up blowing because you are putting it under too much stress, and that will most probably make other components die aswell, so you will end up having to buy a new computer rather than just a power suply

yeah. remember that is also under idle.

as soon as you hit games, it will increase even more...

get a better PSU

dont play with these things. The PSU is the MOST IMPORTANT piece in the computer (if you look at it as a machine...)

if that surges, or blows, you might/will damage other components aswell (as stated above)
