Hi,
I am new to this forum.. I am deciding on buying my new Desktop and after enough haggling have decided on the following specs.
Processor: Intel Core2duo; 2.5GHz
RAM: 2GB*1
minimum 320GB Hard Disk space
22 inch LCD monitor (viewsonic/samsung.. are there any other brands that i might need to consider?)
basic keyboard
optical mouse
speakers (regular stuff)
minimum 6 USB ports
Warrantry?? (is there any warranty i might need to look for?)
Service?? (is there any kind of service i might need to be aware of?)
Are there other features/ad ons that i could add?
Presently one engineer (known to me) has quoted me INR 31500 (635 USD) for the above config with a 500GB HDD.. Is that good deal or am i being ripped??
Well to make things simpler for everyone, I live in Mumbai (India).. My budget is around INR 35000 (on the higher side) which is about 700 USD.. I am not into gaming at all..
My usage would be limited to regular web browsing, no gaming, basic downloads, lot of music, office related applications and generally i work with adobe photoshop quite a bit.
Since I am building this PC i would need all the help from anyone who might be able to help me.. what are the brands that i could be looking for in each dept and what is the kind of pricing for the same..
Also are there any other features that I should be looking for/warned against (suggestions??)
are there any dealers/ engineers that i could be referred to for the same?
