i have a basic idea of what i want for my new computer....i've just gotten lost on all the numbers....this is what i want
--amd athlon fx53...i want to be able to overclock but i still want the system stable
--abit motherboard...seems to be very high rated
--atleast 2gb of low latency memory
--a 256mb graphics card...not shure what kind i want...just on the upper end of the spectrum
--a decent audio card
--possibly liquid cooling
--dvd cd burner +-
--the case i want to use is the thermaltake shark
--a 19" lcd monitor
--and everything else i'm forgetting...
i want to stay in the 1300 to 1400 range NOT INCLUDING the monitor...please help a guy out...if you can't tell by my post amount of less then 30...i haven't been here long and i'm in desperate need of a nice computer...i'm tired of mooching off friends for the desktops...

your not gonna get that in the 1400 range

my comp is a
amd 3500
gforce 6800gt
msi nforce 3 ultra mobo
200g harddrive
70$ case
60 $ psu
dvd drive
cd rw drive
1 gig of low latency ram
19 crt monitor
and w/out windows it was 1700 ish

here the problem a athlon 64 fx-53 cost around $800 by it self. to get low latency ram 2 1 gb sticks you talking about $500. that already $1300. so there really no way you going to get all that for $1400. My athlon fx-55 machine cost me $2500 without monitor. so minus 100 for the cheaper cpu you looking at around $2400 let say you get a $400 video card instead of a $500 one now we at $2300. you proberly can save a little more on other parts so let say anouther 100 now we at 2200. this is still $800 over what you wanted.

well a athlon 64 3500+ scocket 939 is a really good choice and it runs around $270. plus if you ever got more money in the future you could upgrade easily to a athlon fx-55.

LOL classic case of "i want the best computer in the world for damn near nothing" :D

eBay!!! :D

Bought my computer off eBay! Cost me ... hmmm, lemme convert it to USD.......£180 United Kingdom Pounds = $341.23 United States Dollars

Check my sig if ya wannna know what I got. It's a good system, reliable, wouldn't say that it has 2 GB of RAM though
