I HAVE 4 Seagate external hard drive i what to connect them to show as one
on my computer i run Windows 7 & Windows Xp there all 1TB and they all
have different mix jpg.mp3.wma.hltms. don't what have to install software
on all my computers and i am use USB Secure on my external hard drives
 
I don't think you can external drives to run raid. Why would you want to show all 4 as one anyway. You would have to move the data off the drives before you could even do it anyway.
 
If I understand correctly you want to setup JBOD (Just a bunch of drives) are you using a desktop or laptop?

That will definitely do what he wants, but will also be fault intolerant. Spanning one volume over multiple disks is a sure-fire way to lose all your data. I would recommend a SAN enclosure with a RAID-5 setup. Cheers.
