First of i'm new to this forum and i'm a computer novice lol . I know its possible to get a lead thet connects into the same plug on the tv but my tv does no have this input. It does have hdmi thou. I would appricate any help!!! cheers Dan

We really need to know more about the specs of the computer (model and such) But probably the easiest/cheapest way to get that computer connected to the TV is to simply purchase another GPU. But without know anything about the computer, I can't say what kind of GPU you need (PCI/AGP/PCI-express)

thanks for the reply, There is no model wrote on the computer itself but when you start it up i says "energy EPA pollution Preventer" what other info do i need to find out?again sorry for being such a thicko at this cheers

I really dont no haha there is nothing wrote on the casing is there any other way of finding out? or shall i just hit it with a massive hammer lol

Right click on your 'my computer' icon then go to 'properties' and tell us what it says there. May have some more information available. Is this a laptop or desktop?

on that same menu (right click 'my computer'>'properties') go to the 'Hardware tab then select 'device manager'. That will bring up a list of hardware on your pc. Look for a section that says 'video devices' or 'display adapters'. List anything under those categories. If your on a P3 then I suspect your video card is pretty old and may not be able to do what you want it to.

That is a pretty old graphics chipset and I am suspect whether or not it is going to get a good signal to your tv but you could try an adapter like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...6021&cm_re=vga_to_hdmi-_-12-156-021-_-Product that connects to your monitor cable then to a HDMI cable. However, given that the graphics set you have has a very small amount of vram it may not get a very good picture and probably will not handle displaying videos but it is worth a try. Ideally, iIt may be time to upgrade your pc.
