Connect windows 7 laptop to Big Screen Tv, no sound, small picture??

i have a gateway laptop with windows vista, it hooked up to my big screen perfectly with sound and a full screen.. i recently installed windows 7(legit) and there is no sound, and the picture does not take up the full screen..any ideas?

You need to install all the correct drivers. You need the sound driver and video driver. Look in device manager to see what still needs to be installed.

Also, windows 7 will install a generic driver to give the device functionality but not the correct driver. You may want go to windows update and see if it will download and install the correct drivers.

Do you have intenet access right now?

ya i do..but whenever i do windows update on video(past experience)..it messses it up..can i trust windows update will find correct drivers?

this is acutlaly my uncles(i said its mine to keep things simple), he's getting me the model type via email soon..i think i'll just with the website.. this isn't the model but for example this is as legit as possible right? lets say i had this model

I would need the exact model so I know what type of video it has in it, that way maybe i can direct you to the correct video driver for windows 7. is it 32bit or 64bit version?
