connect with rj-45

ok, i have cable internet. so, i have the cable running into the modem, and then a usb connector running from the modem to the computer. well, i want to set up a wireless router. so, i think the computer need to run interenet through an rj-45 connection. can i get some help with this?

Does your modem also have a rj45 connection? If so, run a rj45 patch cable from the modem to the WAN/internet port on the router.

You will then connect your PCs via wireless or a patch cable plugged into the LAN side of the router.
