Connecting 2 HD's with 2 computers?

I just recently got a new computer for christmas. I want to transfer about 20 gigs of files from my old hd to my new one w/o opening up the computers? any idea how to go about doing this.
 
You can network them, and transfer the data through the network. It would take a while, though.

If you have the time, it is the easiest way. Makaveli, if you don't have a network set up, you can just buy a crossover cable to connect the two computers.
 
Okay i think im half way there. I have my new computer connected to the cable modem. and then in the 2nd nic port i connected by a crossover cable to the single nic of the old computer. I got a connection and it appears to be sending an recieveing data. Now how do i actually move the files??
