Yes, thats what im planning on doing. I want to buy an internal HD but leaving it outside... such as on top of my computer case but having it connect directly to my mobo. I"ll probably have to drill a small hole on my case for the wires.
The question I have is, im not going to be always using this HD whenver my computer is on. Im just going to be using it for backing up files. Regular External Hd's are just too slow with their USB 2.0. But with the internal HD setup i'll be having, it would be much faster. What I would like to know is... after im done backing up my files, would it be safe to just pull the power from my internal HD thats sitting outside? Because I dont want it to be running all the time. Just when I need it.
Thanks =D
