Does anyone know of any programs where you are able to plug in your component inputs into some kind of usb adapter so you can play like your console games/dvd/etc on your computer?
Where could I possibly buy these component inputs that are usb? What are they called?

What? Component to USB? Iv never heard of any such device.
Maybe Component to VGA or DVI, maybe that's what you mean. Sure they make them and you should be able to find them for cheap at monoprice.com

I think this is what your looking for, however you will still need a gender changer I think and a DVI cable(also your monitor has to take DVI.

You mean like video capture devices and TV tuners? Those devices can be connected to a USB port and allow you to watch and record video and/or audio from composite, S-Video, or even component video sources.

Maybe the supported resolution is for the pictures, videos from a dvd, etc.
my friend bought it and is gonna try it out before he tells me how it works
