I have a 42" vizio 1080P LCD with dual HDMI ports and my comp has dual DVI ports( One for monitor, one for HDTV). I have a cord that connects DVI to HDMI, what else do I need to play movies from my computer on my HDTV.
Thanks

Are you attempting this without success? I think all you need is the cord. You should be fine, kick back and watch something

Ok I had to go into my video card settings and put it for two displays, so I have it working now. Playing on comp, pictures etc. all work, but when I open videos in Windows Media Player they show up on the computer but not on the TV???? the TV has the WMP open and shows time going but no movie??? any ideas?

Im not sure, I have no experience with trying to do this. Is there anything about doing this in the tv manual or the GPU manual? Hope this helps.

it could be a bad cable. also try adjusting your resolution for your secondary (tv ) display to something lower. i think my motherboard has a jumper you have to connect in order to use hdmi. maybe youres does too. check your user manual.

Ok i found out what I had to do to get the videos to play now. But now i only get audio through the computer speakers, any ideas?
