Connecting Pc To Tv With S-Video

im looking to connect my pc to my tv using s-video output to watch videos from my pc on my tv..i know i need the s-video cable a y-adapter and the red and white cables.

i am running windows xp home edition with service pack 3 with a radeon x600 video card on a dell dimension e510..after i get the cables and connect them..what do i do from there?

your ATI software should pickup that the TV is connected and will let you configure in the ATI software

really easy stuff to do, from memory you can go into display settings and select your TV from there and make it your primary screen and maybe disable your monitor
 
ive read something about this clone mode thing..can i only set that once the pc is connected to the tv cause right now i go where it should be in ati settings and it says theater mode options i click that and it says these overlay options are only available in dual controller clone mode and not single displays or extended desktop configurations
 
Clone mode will show the same desktop or apps on the tv and pc monitor this will be fine to set, you can disable this setting and turn it back on
