Connecting PC (Windows 7) to TV Complications..

Hello, I'm having a conecting problem. I have an HP computer that has VGA cable and has a matching setting on my TV (Component 4: VGA). I used to have Windows Vista and had no problem connecting my PC to my TV. However, since I upgraded to W7 it no longer works. When I plug my PC into my TV, a message comes up on my TV says "Not Compataible". Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you.

did windows 7 somehow change the resolution to an unsupported size??? i'd say hook it up to a regular monitor if you have one or can get ahold of one and see if the resolution is a different size than what it used to be... or if the gpu card is dead...

one the same note, i upgraded to 7 from vista and had no problems right away...
