Hi, guys and a happy new year to one and all.
I had the bright idea of connecting my aged PC to a Belkin router (which I already have) but have hit a snag. The cable from the router to the rear of the PC (to set up wireless in the first place) fails to light the "wired" light on the Belkin although the connection works well enough using the same cable plugged into the original wired Talktalk modem.
Then I decided to drag out an even older PC and connect that up wirelessly instead but alas no socket to allow this to happen! Is there a cable that will adapt from the RJ?? whatever it's called from the wired socket on the Belkin to a USB connection as the old PC has a couple of those?
You will gather I am no expert!!
Just as an aside 'er indoors has a laptop which works fine wirelessly with the Belkin hance the reason we have one. Just seems a pity not to be able to use my PC wirelessly as well.
