Connecting two laptops (broken screen)

One laptop = broken screen

Second laptop = New


I'm looking to get the information off the 'Broken' to the 'New' in the simplest way possible. Preferably without purchasing anything else.


Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have any external monitors you could use on the laptop with a broken screen? Then you could just network them. That or pull the HD out and stick it in some enclosure or something.

I didn't think of that - I have access to one via a friends. The standard desktop connection lead will work with the laptop?

Yeah...should be a normal HD15F SUBD connector on the laptop(15 pin female VGA socket)

Or even TV out if your laptop supports it. That might be enough to at least get the network going
