The manual for the board will have a diagram showing the locations for the usb blocks. Generally you will see an illustration showing which pin locations are for the main power switch, hard drive led, power led, and for case speaker if the board lacks one. On many boards you will also see a second small rectangular block used for front panels or the front of the case for the addon accessories there. Another illustration will be there to show the pin locations(both + and - for both blocks) for the inputs like mic and line in plus the head phone jack. These are real small plugs where you sometimes have to use a small magnifying glass to verify that you plug them in correctly. And on some model boards the wiring will not reach due to being located where they are on the opposite side at the rear side of the case. I've run into a few of those lately. You should see abbreviated markings on the board for each item. But the manual(book or PDF download) will show the positive and negative for each pair of wires if not joined as one pair.
